Multicultural Seniors Carnivale 2021

Celebrating Seniors’ contribution to a rich and diverse society

Sydney Multicultural Community Services (SMCS) will host its annual Multicultural Seniors Carnivale on Wednesday 21st February 10 AM – 1:30 PM at the Prince Henry Centre in Little Bay. With spectacular views over coastal sandstone cliffs and the Pacific Ocean, 140 senior clients will attend the event. Guests will enjoy live music, dancing, stunning ocean views and a delicious lunch prepared by Sydney MCS Volunteer Chef Gianni. Clients in attendance will be from 20 different language groups and currently access aged care services from Sydney MCS. The Carnivale is an opportunity to celebrate their contribution to Australian society and allow them to connect with each other without language barriers.

Our dignitaries and Guest speakers at the Carnivale will include Mr. Michael Daley MP, Cr. Danny Said (Randwick Council Mayor), Dylan Parker (Randwick City Councillor) and Hon. Matt Thistlethwaite (MP for Kingsford Smith). This event is proudly supported by Randwick City Council.

SMCS is proud to announce that this year’s Multicultural Seniors Carnivale coincides with our 40th year anniversary since our inception in 1981. Sydney MCS is known for being a trailblazer in supporting and celebrating seniors from diverse cultural backgrounds and yesterday’s event reflected the strength of Multiculturalism in Australia.
