May Conservation Café – Michael McFadden

IMG_6852In May, Michael McFadden was our Conservation Café guest. Michael is the Unit Supervisor of the Herpetofauna Division at Taronga Zoo.

Michael told us about the threats to frog species in Australia and told us about his efforts to try and save the Southern and Northern Corroboree Frog populations. Since the 80’s, 6 frog species have gone extinct in Australia. Therefore, Michael’s breeding programs are very important to maintain the diversity of amphibians here in Australia.

Thanks so much, Michael, for a great Conservation Café!
